We stayed at Black Canyon Wimberley from December 23, 2023 – January 14, 2024. Nestled just 5 minutes from the heart of Wimberley, this small quiet park provided the perfect blend of convenience and serenity.
We were in site 4, a gravel pull-through with full hookups. The site was just long and wide enough to fit our 5th wheel, truck, and car. They do have a parking space for a couple of vehicles, but at the time we arrived it was taken, so we crammed all the vehicles in our spot.
The park has minimal amenities like Wi-Fi, a small grass area to take your pets, and a nature trail. They do offer firepits and picnic tables in a few spots. We had a site that didn’t have either. The website mentioned a pool, but we never saw it. The park was clean and quiet, creating a peaceful environment throughout our stay.
The absence of restrooms and laundry facilities did pose a small challenge as we were there for an extended time, but we knew it would be worth trying to live without, due to the location. They do not offer monthly rates, as most people don’t stay long at this park, we had several different neighbors throughout our stay.
Proximity to the town center is a notable advantage. Being just a 5-minute drive away, we could easily explore the local attractions, charming shops, and the unique culture that Wimberley has to offer.
If you are looking for a simple and quiet getaway to explore the charming Wimberley, this is an average place to stay.
