This is NOT a campground (despite several reviewers saying it is); it’s a picnic area that’s many miles up a carved-into-the-side-of-a-mountain single-car dirt road. DO NOT try to bring an RV or trailer up here or you will get stuck.
The dirt road can be managed in a regular car—no need for 4WD/AWD or a bunch of ground clearance.
If you go for a picnic/hike/views, this is a really great spot. If you like a challenging hike, there’s a trail that connects this picnic area to the Stone Forge Campground (where you can actually camp, but all sites are walk-in from the parking lot, so no campers/trailers there either—unless you leave them in the parking lot).
NOTE: Local bear hunters use this spot as a staging area and place to run/train their dogs, so it’s best to steer clear during bear hunting season if your not a bear hunter.
