This place is a great family location, but experience can change with bitter attitude from a customer service representative. We were at the end of our stay and packing up our site to find out one of our vehicles wouldn’t start. Our check- out was on a Sunday am so no one could get to us in any timely fashion. We called the desk and told them the issue. They said to leave the car on the site and needed to know the exact time that it would be removed. I could not answer that question because I couldn’t even get a tow truck. Lady at the office said I get off at 3pm so if you don’t make it back it’s tough luck…. You will be charged another night! Mind you half the campground is closed for off season…….So I needed to make the 1.5hr drive back to my home with the camper and hook up to a car trailer to drive 1.5hrs back. We were about 10mins out and called the office to say we were close but might be 2mins late. Lady at the desk said 3:00pm is the cut off, she gets off work then and not a min later. By the grace of god we made it before 3. Got the car loaded and pulled out of the campground by 4pm just to watch the office lady walk across the parking lot to get in her car. **** Note this was a quad site that was not filled for that night!**** Takes away every good experience I’ve had here. This was my go to place with kids and family.
This place was fantastic! We took a camping trip the weekend of Thanksgiving. We did not expect to have that many people camping that weekend. Second time we ever to out our camper and the first time we ever stayed at a resort. WE LOVED IT!. Had a great time and there was a ton of things to do while we were there. Very clean park and had a lot of things to do for kids all day and all night long. We have already booked 2 more stays this year in 2024. Best campground we have been to thus far.
We do enjoy going, the kids have fun when we do. Yet, the customer service is horrible. I have worked in hospitality for decades, and if I spoke to or acted the way, mainly the way Office staff acted, they wouldn't have a job long. I was treated horrible when my wife and kids got sick and we had to leave early. We left before 11 a.m., but when I informed the office staff, it was as if I was a criminal for inquiring about a partial refund for the cart and staying for days not used. (Which we did not get) Also, being told it's a fire Hazzard, when we went to check in, because the bathhouse was not ready. So we could not access the site. There needs to be some retraining on how to present yourself when speaking to someone. Good or bad, there is a tactful and basic customer service when speaking to a customer. UPDATE.. I can tell you really did not read the review. You took something small that was not the issue. Yes, the wait was frustrating, but that was not the concern. It is how it was handled. The worst was our departure. We left before check out time and still charged for time never used. Again, it's more of the way it was handled. There is a tactful way to approach concerns, whatever the concern is. Reviewing other reviews, you have great property. YET, customer service, as with many others, not just us, has ruined an entire stay, which is true.
