We strive to create a lodging experience that is comfortable and enjoyable for travelers of all ages and have been honored to host guests from all 50 states, and more than a dozen foreign countries. We live on an adjacent private property.
My husband and I stayed here on our honeymoon and it was beautiful. It felt like our own little home. Happiest place I’ve ever stayed while traveling. Be sure to look at the little books in the cabin that have trip details of previous guests (like little journal logs) to get some ideas of places to go and things to do! There is so much wildlife around the cabins and you can get a tour of the farm area if you want as well, just be sure to schedule it with Julie! She is great with communicating and answered all of our questions about the cabins as well as about the surrounding area which was so sweet as she didn’t have to help us as much as she did. 😁 I absolutely recommend staying here, it was truly one of the best experiences ever. Such homey cabins with beautiful scenery and great amenities, and right next to some cool attractions too. Thanks Julie, we appreciated your hospitality immensely!
We would happily stay here again! The location is perfect - close to lots of attractions in the Black Hills. The cabin is new with comfortable beds, fluffy towels, etc. It is extremely clean - I've never stayed at a cabin that is as spotless as this one is! Julie is an amazing host, she left a small basket of food upon arrival, super responsive, and even supplies slippers for everyone! She is kind enough to give farm tours and we loved meeting the yaks and chickens and learning about their farm. Overall, it is the best cabin rental we've ever experienced.
These cabins are beautiful just like the pictures on the website. We rented all 4 for a family trip and will definitely rent again. They have all the comforts needed, way more than most VRBO’s I’ve rented. The beds were comfortable. The place is secluded, very quite, yet close to all activities in the Black Hills. We had deer and turkey walk by multiple times a day. These are very centrally located. Expect to be impressed.

Yak Ridge is the perfect place for a family to explore the Black Hills. It is centrally located to just about everything there is to see and do, and just a short drive into either Keystone or Rapid City for restaurants, groceries, and other needs. We stayed in Cabin 1 for five nights in early spring and it was fantastic! The cabin was just as depicted in the online photos - clean and with plenty of space for two adults and two children. It came loaded with lots of books and boardgames - perfect for a family week away. We were surprised to see a welcome basket awaiting us, and arrival and departure were easy. We will definitely recommend Yak Ridge to our friends and family, and we can't wait to return!
