We loved camping here, there are a lot of spots to the left that are secluded and beautiful. I definitely recommend walking a little to chose a spot, we counted over 15 spots, even some on top of the hill.
Great hiking/ camping grounds! Down a narrow gravel road you'll find a very large and nice parking area. Room to tent camp there with picnic tables and fire rings. Bathroom is fairly gross but still usable. We backpacked in and there was a lot of camping areas already to choose from. Nice secluded spots, beautiful views, no real issues with mosquitoes or anything else. We didnt find much for water to filter so pack plenty. Definitely going to go back. Gorgeous views, easy hike, great overall spot!
Awesome trail! Our group did a 3 day father/son hike along Wildcat Hollow, and we found at least 4 campsites. I recommend downloading the Alltrails app (gps) as the long loop can get confusing and difficult to stay on (we went during fall and leaves covered everything). This is a moderately difficult trail. THE WATER HERE IS UNSAFE TO DRINK BECAUSE OF HEAVY METALS FROM MINING. As we drove in, we hid water where the road intersects the trail.
