I was lucky enough to spend 2 nights of a 4 night canoe camping trip at Spencer camp. There are 2 separate campsites, both of which have 2 tent plots, Bear Boxes, and picnic tables. There is also a shared vault toilet and boat dock on the island. The views of the surrounding peaks are spectacular. Fishing was sublime, and because it's tucked away behind Roland point you have little if any wind to deal with. The National Park Service is to be commended on keeping such wonderful backcountry campsites for us to visit.
