I love to drive up here and look for petrified wood. It is very peaceful. I highly recommend the little Spanish restaurant in Mattawa. La Perla Tapatia, I think? It is amazing!!
Saddle Mountain ORV park, on BLM land above Mattawa WA, is great place for motorcycle riding, four wheeling, camping and rock hounding.
