Buck Lake Campground is open from May - October. Maximum stay is 14 days. No water or trash available.
On forest road #5130-100, 12 miles north of Winthrop Wa.
Good family recreation. Greenery is grown in so nice you do feel like you're in the woods camping.
I grew up at Buck lake from pre k until 7th grade. I am been very blessed . Dad passed on, now we just visit my ex and children . Still feel very lucky
Beautiful place.
Buck "lake" is somewhat of a misnomer. Buck pond would be more accurate. In August its buck mudhole. Swiming is impractical. That being said, the campground is maintained. It's quiet. Rowdies are discouraged. Kid safe, although I'm not sure if there is anything there for them to do, so you might have to entertain the little darlings yourself.
This place is near and dear to my heart. Been camping there since I was a wee yun; the feeling of community is palpable and a bunch of resources are available. Bathrooms with multiple stalls and showers, a great playground, well-maintained land. Careful about getting a site for yourself though, as I believe there are no more vacancies.
We've been members for almost 20 years and love it here. Both my sons and their families have memberships, too. Everyone here is so friendly. On the 4th of July they put on a terrific, professional fireworks show!
