Looking for a great place to stop and see some beautiful country, add Walnut Meadow to your list. We stay here six months out of the year, and always look forward to coming back. They have room for any size rig you have. The overnight spots can hold at least 75 ft so no need to unhook before you park. I would give this park 10 stars if they would let me.
We spent one night here as we traveled on I75. First impressions: girls used panties, beer cans and bottles in the firepit-- pics attached, deep rutts in the muddy site, no picnic table-- even after i asked for one. Water and electric only. More than one young men driving trucks around and on campground roads with beers they were drinking while driving, and at least 3 dogs roaming without their owners. Lastly, when you walk to the office to try to get someone to help you, its locked and the number painted on the door leads you to a disconnected number. All in all, what a dump.
This is not an RV Park. It is for tent camping or a small trailer. They are trying to charge us to fix a water spicket that was already broken. we explained we have a 42' rig and lady said no problem pick the first spot and pull in. we did that and it was a disaster. Picnic table in the way, barely 8' pad, water spicket taped up with black electrical tape making it so it cannot be seen in dark. Barely tapped it and it fell apart. Some guy came over and put more electrical tape on it and fixed it back how it was. Now they are trying to charge us $1,200 to fix their spicket that was broken and a spicket that cost $29. The lights in photos are from 2 cars they pulled up and all of our docking and porch lights from the RV
The employee was rude. The lady on the telephone was nice.
