This recreation area is part of Waco Lake
Stayed there in a 40 foot Class A Motorhome. Great view, surrounded by water and deer and birds. It was low season so RV park was not busy. You definitely need a car to get anywhere. Approach road was very bad, though, potholes you could nearly swim in!
Also houseboat accessible and boat ramps. Great place for bass crappie and catfish fishing. Beautiful sight clean very well kept. It is private property but open to public they do charge for fishing or any day use activity's cost is $5 person. Wildlife friendly deer are all over and beautiful sunset and rise as well as night skies
We were just riding around checking out the lake , since it filled up. The grounds are clean and well kept. Large deer population feeding out there. Drive slowly because they will run out in front of you.
We stayed at the RV Park in August. It was nice and clean. Lots of deer to see in the morning/evening. The lake is down right now, so our "water front" RV spot was not quite next to the water, but it was easy enough to walk out to the lake and swim around. The shining star was the bathhouse. They are individual rooms with a toilet, full size shower and sink (no mirror)...but super cold a/c! It was over 100 degrees the whole time we were there, so stepping into a cold room was heaven! Thanks for the great stay!
Nice, but basic RV park. Nothing fancy here. We stopped in for a single night on our way home from the coast and it was an "OK" place. RV spaces are crushed rock in a grassy field. Probably not somewhere I would want to spend an extended stay.
