From jct Hwy 31 & I-45: Go 1-3/4 mi S on I-45,then 15 mi SE on US 287 (at west end of bridge)
The place is really nice, but the experience we had at the RV we rented was a fiasco, so that has nothing to do with the campground itself. Enjoyed sitting on the dock fishing, going swimming at the pool. Very relaxing
We had lunch there and is was delicious and service was really good and on top of everything. We felt spoiled- in a good way. But we stayed around corner from them at fisherman's cove in individual cabins and fishing trip with them
Tried to get as many details online about amenities before reservation. Not enough info online.
Stayed overnight in 1story building
No fridge
No microwave
No table to sit at to snack.
TV blinked out once.
Wish I hadn't brought perishable food.
We were in room farthest from very busy FM 287, but it was still noticeable.
Food was good.
Employees helpful and friendly.
Roomy cafe.
Yes, they sell frozen and live bait.
Average small sized fishing from bank or pier.
Nice parking for boat launching, etc.
Nice to look at, spend time with thw family, RV parking, boat access, the dock needs some much needed cleaning, to many spiders and spider webs.
We pulled over to swim, beautiful lake, warm water, little pollution, please keep your plastics inside your coolers boaters. Apparently you can catch the biggest fish in Texas here in winter according to a local fisherman I met. Large lake for boating, skiing, kayaking, or paddle boarding.
