From Bennington: Go 10 miles east on Hwy 9.
If you love peaceful camping in a most beautiful state park - this is the park for you! Well maintained park with super clean amd conveniently located restrooms. Cheap ice cubes and 10lb blocks of ice and cheap super dry firewood. Great beach for swimming or canoeing or kayaking. Quiet time is truly quiet time and rain runs away quickly. Flora and fauna abound and the mountains are incredibly beautiful. If you haven't camped here yet - you need to - you won't be disappointed.
In the top three of my favorite camping places. Very well maintained, quiet, nice setting, convenient to many outdoor attractions, sites are as private as most can get. Staff is great. Not a fish in the lake, but plenty of good fishing within a reasonable drive.
I visited on a cold, snowy day, when the park was closed, but it was perfect for a lovely hike.
I enjoyed camping here. Staff is extremely friendly, bathrooms were clean, nice decent amount of space between sites. Great hiking on site and nearby. It's great to get out in nature.
The park was a stunning with very helpful staff. I had some issues with kids running around and making noise, however the campers maintained an admirable respect for quiet hours. Restrooms were very clean. The lakeside view? Breathtaking. Plus, it's just a stone's throw from Wilmington, an absolute gem of a town.
