From Hwy 109 West of Troy, take SR 1147 and turn right on SR 1146. Yates Place is on the left.
Cute but very crowded and no masks. Plenty of parking though with easy access to miles of trails. You can camp anywhere in Uwharrie! I went south on the Uwharrie trail.
Beware of roaming dogs! I set up my tent at 10pm at night and woke up at 1:30am surrounded by wild dogs. Had to pack up under pressure and head to a hotel in Troy.
I come here 3 times or more a year. Best place for a quite getaway and no children. No water or power. Not much cell service. Best way to get away from everything in your life.
Quiet little campground. Enjoyed our visit. The buttercups are trying to bloom in February.
We had a amazing time! The campgrounds are very clean. We found a great places to camp for 10 people! There are hiking trails around if you like to hike. The stores are about 15 minutes away from the campground if you need anything. If it’s your 1st time camping be aware that the bathroom is a toilet with a hole in the ground so please bring a toilet seat, sanitary napkins, plenty of water and plenty of Lysol wipes as this is primitive camping so you do not have a regular flushing toilet. Overall our Easter weekend camping experience was wonderful!
