About Campground

Devils Garden Campground is located deep within the heart of beautiful Arches National Park in Southeastern Utah, at an elevation of approximately 5200 ft.. The campground is situated among natural sandstone arches and fins and is only 18 miles north of the parks entrance and 23 miles from Moab, Utah. Natural Features: The campground is forested with mixed stands of Utah juniper and pinyon pine. Flowering prickly pear cacti, yucca and other desert wildflowers dot the landscape, offering vivid color to the surrounding red rock desert. Arches National Park has the highest concentration of natural arches in the world. Over 2,500 of these unusual rock formations can be found here. Towering spires, fins and balanced rocks complement the arches, creating a remarkable assortment of landforms in a relatively small area. The park is within an arid, high desert environment with hot summers and cold winters. Recreation: Hiking trails are abundant in Arches, including the Broken Arch Trail, a scenic loop with a trailhead conveniently located within the campground. Trails are varied and offer something for everyone, from the easy 0.3-mile loop around Balanced Rock to the steep and strenuous 3-mile round-trip trail to Delicate Arch. Other recreational activities in the park include guided hiking tours of the Fiery Furnace, an off-road vehicle route, road biking and picnicking. Facilities: Devils Garden contains 51 campsites that are available for reservation (Including the two group sites and one accessibility site), offering visitors a great opportunity to stay overnight in a unique national park. Roads and parking spurs are paved, allowing smooth access for all types of travelers. A campground host is located on-site. Flush toilets and drinking water are provided, and campsites contain picnic tables and fire rings. The park does not have dump stations, or electric, water, or sewer hook-ups for RVs. There are also no showers. Nearby Attractions: Southeastern Utah offers breathtaking scenery, hiking, road and mountain biking opportunities, rafting and scenic driving routes. Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park are within a 45-minute drive of Arches entrance. Moab offers numerous restaurants, shops and museums. The desert around Moab is a mountain bikers dream, with hundreds of miles of slickrock and single-track trails for all riding abilities. ACTIVITIES Interpretive Programs: Evening Programs Hiking Day Use Area: Amphitheater

My husband was able to book a spot in the campground for 5 days. The site was very nice, fairly level and so nice to be parked in Arches National Park! Perfect for getting started early for the hikes we wanted to do. Enjoyed being there so much!

Devils Garden Campground is a good option for campers looking to stay within Arches National Park. The campground is located about 30 minutes from the visitor center, but it is well worth the drive.

The campground is situated among towering sandstone fins and offers stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The sites are well-maintained and have picnic tables, fire rings, and access to flush toilets and running water.

The campground has an amphitheater that hosts ranger talks and programs in the summer. These talks are a great way to learn about the park's geology and history.

This campground also has a few trails that start near the campground and are worth doing. I recommend the Landscape Arch Trail and the Pine Tree Arch Trail. Both of these trails are relatively short and easy, but they offer stunning views of some of Arches National Park's most iconic formations.

I recommend that campers bring a canopy or sunshade to protect themselves from the sun. The campground has very little shade, so it is important to have a place to cool off and escape the sun's rays. Finally, be sure to bring plenty of water, especially if you are planning on hiking any of the trails near the campground.

Site accessibility was great. The campground has two accessible campsites, and the roads and parking spurs are paved. There is also an accessible bathroom near the accessible campsites.

My only complaint about the campground is that the camp host was not very visible during our stay. I tried to find the camp host on two occasions to request firewood, but I was unable to locate them. On our last day, I finally found the camp host, but they were taking a shower and I had to wait about 30 minutes for them to come out.

Overall, we had a great time camping at Devils Garden Campground. I would recommend this campground to anyone looking to experience the beauty of Arches National Park. However, I would also recommend that campers be prepared to be self-sufficient, as the camp host may not be readily available.

A fantastic experience. If you are willing and able to camp without hookups, this is the place to go. Try off-season in order to get a spot. Otherwise you had better get a reservation before going. Use this as a spot too set up, and then go see the rest of the park, which is expansive.

An absolutely beautiful campground, maybe one of the most scenic ones I've stay at so far. Book early in advance as the place has become so popular in the recent year. Booking can be made online. The views are breathtaking. It's quite and remote with limited cell phone reception. There are picknick tables and fire pits. We will certainly return.
