FireTree is known worldwide for our beautiful Navajo Hogan bed and breakfast, located under a towering mesa near Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. We also offer tent sites on our property, with hot showers, flush toilets, and wifi available. You will park a about a hundred feet from the tent sites, which are 20 ft X 20 ft flat pads elevated slightly above the surrounding landscape. A fire pit and grills are available at the shared grilling area, which also has an electric light if desired. There are tables and chairs available, and we can provide charging for phones or low wattage (1000 watt) electrical hookup upon request. Easy walking is available in the valley outside our fence, but the nicest hiking is to climb the mesa behind our property. Rates are $50 for one or two people, and $10 for each additional person after 2. Please check in at the red barn house when you arrive, and we will give you a tour. Please email us, if you will arrive after 9PM.

Camp hosts would not enforce any rules. Generators and karaoke machines going until 2 AM. Multiple vehicles and a boat parked on the road so trailers couldn't get past. Hosts would not make it stop. Used to be a great place, especially with Mike as the host. Now it's going downhill fast. Called the forest service and ranger for help and no one came.
Flushable toilets that work. Enough said. The campground is well maintained and easy to find. The spots feel secluded I especially like the squares off tent space. It would be nice to be able to fit more small tents than one big one.
The other day I was just chillin, and all of the sudden I was all like "I really wanna go campin!" So that's exactly what I did! I got in my car and driveded to my reservation. Once I got there I was like "holy cow! This place is lit!" (And it really was!) I went and set up my little tent, and got my sleeping pad out for maximum comfort. Then I ate some absolutely slappin s'mores! The moral of this story is that campin is pretty lit, and if you ever want to go campin then just do it bub!
I recently had the opportunity to visit Firefighters Memorial Campground, and overall, it was a great experience. The campground is surrounded by beautiful trees and is conveniently located near Cedar Springs Marina, providing easy access to water activities.
However, one aspect to consider is the size of the sites. If you have a large 5th wheel or RV, it's important to ensure that the spot you reserve can accommodate your vehicle. Unfortunately, the sites are on the smaller side, which could pose a challenge for those with larger rigs.
One issue we encountered during our stay was the campground's refund policy. Our friends mistakenly ended up in a different spot due to the size of their Rv than the one they had reserved, and the campground staff did not provide a refund for the extra spot they had to pay for. It's worth noting this potential inconvenience to avoid any surprises.
Despite these considerations, the campground's scenic surroundings and proximity to the marina make it an attractive destination for outdoor enthusiasts. Just be sure to double-check the site size and clarify the refund policy before making your reservation.
Love camping here! Been going every year for the last few years for my summer camping trip. Done the river and the reservoir. The campsite is great. Plenty of room, bathrooms are nice (one year they had a porta potty instead, but no issue). Can't wait to go back this year!
