Kettle Creek State Park consists of 1,793 acres along Kettle Creek in western Clinton County. The park is in a valley surrounded by mountainous terrain and wilderness.
Many of the existing recreational facilities arose from a joint flood control project developed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the former Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Resources.
The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk.
The park office is open specific hours. Overnight areas and other areas are open specific seasons and hours. Contact the park office for facility seasons and hours.
Kettle Creek lower campground was pretty nice. Loved the clean bathrooms and hot showers. I have to leave my dogs home since I wanted to camp right on the water and the lower campground doesn’t allow pets. So while I was there, I checked out the upper campground so that I could possibly come back and bring the dogs this time. The upper campground is horrible! You’re way up the hill, the view is nice but you’re not on the water. There are only vault toilets here and no showers. You would have to drive all the way over to the lower campground and PAY each day to use the shower. I don’t think I will come back
This park is really nice, even for tent camping. We camped in the upper campground and found it pleasant and beautiful despite a mostly rainy spring weekend. Expect no cell reception and not much in the way of civilization outside of this park, but it's beautiful with lots to hike and explore. Bathrooms are primitive but very clean. Our campsite was awesome (site 50) and removed from everybody in a way that made us feel like our own private space, but a long walk to the bathrooms.
Kettle Creek state park is small but absolutely beautiful. I went Tent camping in the lower campground and must say it was a true pleasure as the park was not crowded. The park was very clean and well kept especially the bathrooms. Very peaceful and quiet stay right by the lake, can't wait to go back.
