First of all, it is a private club. The facility is very nice, I liked the wood fired sauna very much. I didn't have many staff interactions other than checking in and out, and thanking the person who was maintaining the wood stove. I don't drink anymore so I did not experience the bar at all. I can't go in the water for medical reasons (stage 4 cancer / terminal) so I didn't experience the steam room, hot tubs or pool but it looked very nice. To be fair, it's more of a sex club than a spa or place to recreate, so it was a lot more fun for my friends than for me. I had only one unwelcome touch from a person who was climbing to an upper bench in the sauna. He then proceeded to sit extremely close to me in spite of there being plenty of space to sit. I am a respectful guest and I did not, "bite." I instead went into, "sleeping tiger mode," until he finally went away. Having been a security professional and night club manager in the past, I want to make it very clear that this was absolutely NOT the fault of the staff in any way. EVERYONE ELSE was nice and even welcoming. I'll probably go back again when I can afford it, if only to chat with nice folks, nap by the pool and use sauna whiley friends make use of the sex rooms! LOL. In summary, it's a GREAT PLACE for gay guys to hang out. There seems to be camping and overnight options too.

The new and improved lodge is a quiet slice of heaven! It's a peaceful and laid-back camping experience. I recommend spending a week or weekend here to get away. Indoor pool and hot tub are bonuses to the clothing optional lodge! We will stay here again!!

I can’t write a positive enough review for Twin Ponds. We have been going just over a year now and are very happy. The place is amazing. We go at least once a month to visit with everyone. The community that the new owners have made is nothing short of incredible. Whether you are looking for a relaxing time in the tub or a fun filled weekend in the woods. Definitely check them out. Indoor pool, hot tub, steam room etc.. all exceptionally cleaned and maintained. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Best part is that it won’t break your bank!

TPL is a wonderful men’s only social club! The new owners have done a fantastic job remodeling the place, making it a classier, cleaner joint! All of the staff are friendly and helpful! The lodge is a safe space for men!

There are lots of things to do, heated indoor pool, steam room, hot tub, sauna! A place to watch movies or play pool! They even have hiking trails if that’s what your into!

They have a full bar, cabin rentals and plenty of space for tenting!

It’s been a favorite spot of mine for a while now! Everyone is very welcoming!

There is not a doubt that in the dictionary, right next to the word "community" there is a picture of TPL and it's owners.

The team at TPL has gone above and beyond to create an oasis for men in rural Maine. As a male presenting, genderqueer person I had some skepticism about being in the space, but I was welcomed in and accepted without hesitation.

Sunday-Wednesday offers a laid back vibe, with ample opportunities to relax and rejuvenate. Friday & Saturday the heated indoor pool becomes a party - coexisting with some very fun-hearted, yet intense volleyball games. The weekends also bring karaoke - which is a HOOT!

The addition of a bar to the Lodge has created even more fun. With affordable prices and lodging opportunities right onsite, the excitement and adventure that TPL offers is second-to-none.

I was an Appalachian Trail hiker who had stumbled off the trail and managed to find my way to Twin Ponds in late-July, that excursion has created experiences and friendships which I will cherish forever.

Very grateful for this space, the team that works day-in and day-out, and the lovely humans who ensure everyday is a BEAUTIFUL DAY at Twin Ponds Lodge.
