Nice location and campground neat. The staff was super nice. Only problem we had was with the power. Reserved a 50 amp site, but did not get 50 amp service..and evidently not even 30 amp. Power kept knocking off. Seems they need to upgrade power lines. We left to tour House on the Rock (highly recommend this attraction) and left dog in RV with only 1 AC on at 77 degrees and refrigerator on. Everything else unplugged or off! Came back to power off! Thank goodness we left windows open and 2 battery powered fans on for dog. Again, liked the campground, but would not come back unless power issue was resolved.
Really great staff and good location right between several state parks.
Found ourselves in a pinch after a different campground didn’t work out. And the hosts were kind enough to find us a spot. Very friendly, quiet at night, with a lot of space to spread yourself out for tent camping. Would highly recommend!
Quiet, picturesque setting. Plenty of room to spread out. Bob, who we originally thought was possibly Tom, was a more than friendly host and guide. Cool dude for sure. Perfect for us to set up base camp and check out the local landscape on our motorcycles. I would would go back for sure.
If you enjoy dark starry nights and beautiful sunsets while camping, then this is definitely the place to go! This campground has a family vibe. Everyone is very friendly and we enjoy our stay every single year that we visit. The grounds are well kept and the bathrooms are very clean.
