What an amazing place!
We just stayed for the first time and there isn’t a single complaint that I could make. The river was beautiful, the campground was very clean. The playground was in excellent condition and very fun. It includes a building with furniture to sit, chalk walls to draw, coloring books and markers. As well as electricity.
The is another large riverside building full of games for the family! Comes with a view!
The staff is excellent. So friendly and helpful with anything you may need.
I hate to tell everybody about this place and it get too popular but here it is.
A must try campground. Very family friendly and safe.
Easily accessible off HWY 441. You will hear some mild road noise but overall still feel as if you’re “far out”.
P.s. Enjoy!
Thank you Ga River Campground for a great weekend!
Showed up at this campground at 5:30pm without a reservation and was accommodated immediately. Such a cool place on a river with porches! Quiet and friendly staff/owners. A hidden gem right on 441!
I was excited to camp here for my birthday next weekend however I mistakenly booked for this weekend and didn’t realize until today. I tried to reschedule for next weekend and was told they have availability but I would have to pay another $84. I realize it was my mistake and it’s their policy to not offer refunds within 24 hours but I was hoping they’d work with me. Will not book again. Birthday weekend ruined.
We happened upon this on our travels and way home to Florida. It is a true hidden gem! Melissa was very accommodating on the phone, and when we arrived, Tim met us, gave us a tour, and offered us a great spot that he had “up his sleeve “! He checked us in very quickly, so we still had time to get out and see the falls and gave us some good recommendations of falls to visit! We brought our dogs and it was perfect! The next morning, Irene, the camp host, came out greeted us at the spacious clubhouse, on the river, and was pleasant and inquired as to our night at the campsite. We can’t wait to come back!!
We have visited more than once. Great customer service, choice of sites and accommodations, fairly priced and worth a visit. Great place to camp without being too close or too far from town. Kid friendly. Would recommend to friends and family.
