In Foresthill, CA, at intersection of Forest Hill Rd. and Mosquito Ridge Rd. (Forest Rt. 96), take Forest Hill Rd. east 27.7 miles to campground.
Nice place, very light use. We were the only ones there the whole 3 nights we stayed. Lots of wildlife that comes through including bears so make sure to use the lockers that are provided. They are huge so don’t worry about not being able to fit all your food in them. Bugs are the only reason I can’t give this place 5 stars. I even had spray and an off candle and they were still horrible.
Campground is closed due to dangerous trees that could fall according to the forest rangers. It has been closed now for about 2 years. Many many trees are marked to be cut down, but no work has been done for 2 years. Sadly the campground will not be so nice when they cut all of the trees down.
Hunting day trip. Soda Springs had been burned out. So sad. Still was smoldering.
Wonder spot to camp. Free, first come first serve. Large spots. Surrounded by large beautiful trees.
This campground is very clean and quiet. Beautiful sunset's and sunrise's.
