My family has had a cabin on swift for over 55 years and this place to me is a sanctuary year round.

I've been going here for years, I can't get enough of this place. The campgrounds are large and clean. No showers

Its a beautiful location, definitely more of a boaters paradise than just picnicking. Pets are allowed and they loved it! Very long drive to get to, but beautiful trip overall

Swift Reservoir is such a beautiful location. With one end lined with cabins and campgrounds and the other full of beautiful inlets to explore and plenty of space for boats kayaks and all sorts of water crafts. My family has owned a cabin along SR for a long time, so I grew up around this area. With so many gorgeous hikes and site seeing close by (Ape Caves, Lava Canyon, The Upper, Middle and Lower Falls, and the Mt. St. Helens Observatory. But be warned you need reservations now for all of those locations AND a parking pass) I HIGHLY recommend this area for a family or adult vacation! (I also highly recommend Swift Forest Campgrounds if you're wanting to go camping, or Eagle Cliff, their little store there is adorable).
