About Campground

Get ready to enjoy a unique KOA experience at the new Sutherlin/Umpqua Valley KOA Holiday. This KOA, formerly the Hi-Way Haven RV Park, is built on the site of a classic drive-in movie theater. The park is fully licensed by the Motion Picture Licensing Corp. to provide guests with a one-of-a-kind, nostalgic drive-in movie experience. Your family can spend the night at the movies without leaving your campsite! Watch big-screen films from the comfort of your RV for free! KOA will even provide a free bag of popcorn. The30/50-amp sites are all Pull-Thru RV Sites, including a privacy fence and concrete patio. Ask for a premium location with a fire pit and a direct view of the movies! Although less than a mile from I-5, you won't hear road noise at this convenient KOA.

Absolutely loved this place, staff are incredible. As a disabled person I found them very accommodating and helpful wherever possible. They have both campsites and a couple Air b&b cabins/mobiles and all the front rows where I stayed had fantastic little patios designed with the perfect angle for watching the movies and sitting by a campfire. They provide fire rings and propane tanks.

It does list frisbee golf as if it has a course, I think it has 2 holes it is not much and was a little disappointing as I feel they have the space to put in a decent course which would help with more activity - I've only ever seen it at one other campground and it was a good draw.

The star of the show though has to be the resurrected drive-in movie screen with the updated digital screen which is incredible picture looks crystal clear in person! What a blast of nostalgia and to be able to do at a campground is a real treat. I'm a bit of an aficionado of drive-ins I've been to them all over the western US and Canada as well as some back in eastern Canada, I make a point to go to them all over while traveling. They all have something special in my opinion but there really is something pure bliss nostalgia about sitting at the drive in theater while camping and eating s'mores by the fire 👌

I will definitely be back, hopefully a few times

Wonderful location with impressive management couple. The really nice thing was the trick or treat activity for young campers. The movie screen and outdoor area with seating and fire pits very well done.
