We stayed last winter in Cabin 2 then this past weekend in the Duplex. Roberta is very helpful, kind, and attentive to every need. She has become a friend to our family. We enjoyed or stay there and will definitely go back again. Thank you for making Ava’s birthday weekend super special.
We ate at the restaurant and the fish and chips was delicious! Mark provided excellent service. The lodge and restaurant is at Lake Heron and offers more than great food. Pontoon boats and kayak rentals, beautiful room and RV park location, propane and a well stocked country store for all of your needs. Stone House Lodge offers everything you need for an excellent vacation!
First of all, the past reviews are for the past owners not the current..!! The new service is horrible, and very rude!! I do not recommend anyone to stay here!! The bedding is still out dated, the smell is a mix between musk and bleach, and they still over price for cleaning...!! The price for cleaning alone is worse than any Airbnb especially in the area.. Stay weary of the Stone House Lodge... We miss the Original owners!! (2 owners before this current ishy owner)
***My name was not on the reservation though does that mean I did not stay... Stone House Lodge the lodge that overlooks El Vado Lake though you have to pass Heron Lake to get to it, we have been staying at the Stonehouse since I was a kid, so yes indeed it is the same place.. the reviews beyond your "18 months" would all be invalid, you should start at Zero considering it has been reopened several times.. yes you had some great feedback from other guests though our experience was horrible. As to the Cleaning supplies maybe you should just re-do the interiors rather than cover it up with whatever you are using. This is exactly what we mean by customer service the owner will continue to argue and be in denial.

If you want to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of city life, This is the place to be. Very peaceful, with beautiful views, and lots of wildlife, and at night you can see the Milky Way, just an absolutely stunning night sky!! The place itself has a great history back 1900s.
Despite the mistake we made by choosing the wrong date, they still accommodated us of which we are very grateful especially since we were with an infant and a toddler. They treated us like family. They serve breakfast and dinner, and the food was delicious. We were chatting like we all have been friends for a while now.
We highly recommend this place. It's a must place to stay!!!
Cute, adorable, homey little cabins. The views are great, the staff is so welcoming and treat you like family, the cabins are everything you need. Awesome firepits right outside your cabin! You don't want to leave once you get here. And they have Tesla charging huge bonus :)
