So beautiful and peaceful! Lo I've seeing all the different wildlife! I've even seen a very beautiful majestic wolf in full chase. And man do the squirrels have attitudes out there! Lately we've seen quite A few Bald Eagles. Lots of hawks. I feel so sorry for the migrating geese right now their magnetic field locators are way off. We keep seeing the birds go north then south then east then west then south west. They're very confused right now. Seen A snow goose today. First time ever. Also a pair of redtailed hawks flying together. And then A very massive bald eagle. A week ago I had to find the owner of a farm that a coyote was stuck in her pasture. They got him out and no animals were hurt. He was so scared.

Spring Lake is a wonderful place that provides incredible, but different views with each step taken. The wildlife here is abundant and diverse with many species of large birds and many others either calling it home or a pit stop on their annual migration. Every kind of woodland creature can be seen or heard, including foxes, coyotes, raccoons, and more. The fishing here is superb. It's home to large catfish, different kinds of bass, pike, carp, and so much more. There are boat ramps and docks that are conveniently located by pavilions and restrooms that seem to be a cool hang out for geese and other large birds. Don't worry, everyone is friendly out here. My personal favorite part about this lake is seeing the majestic swans floating across the lake so effortlessly and elegantly. Don't forget to take at least one night out there to sit under the stars, which you can see so clearly. I watched a beautiful waning crescent moon float across the night sky filled with thousands of stars the other night while fishing. It's such a calm and relaxing experience that only Nature can provide.

Great place to fish. Plenty of places along the south lake to fish off the shore, not so much on the north lake at this time of the year. Boat ramp functional at South, no way to get a boat in off the north boat ramp. Caught several good size catfish, and plenty of cover for bass. There are several parking areas with trashcans and restrooms. Also pavilions onsite.
