I travel to ND alot about 3 yrs ago was our first visit. Now we go weekly to play and to eat dinner at the buffet. Food is good not much to choose from, crab nights are the best! Very friendly and nice

After trying to book a reasonable room rate in devils lake I called The Spirit Lake Casino & resort. Rate was better and newer hotel. The front desk was friendly and happy. Got me a room on 4 floor. Roomy and very clean. Bed was a king and very comfortable. Went downstairs to the View restaurant. Fine dinning at its best. They were closing soon and wanted something quick and not too filling. Ordered there bacon cheeseburger with baked potato. Waitress was helpful and very friendly. Food came out fast. They were celebrating there 16 anniversary and fireworks on June 1. Wish I could have been there. Beautiful view of lake and lots of parking. Even a Canadian flag.

Stayed here for a hockey tournament for the kids. Staff were very tolerant of the shenanngians that usually come with kids at a tournament. Rooms were basic, but fine. Casino was pretty decent, food was meh, but cheap. Pool area was large and well kept. They allow the kids to stay in the pool after it was officially closed to celebrate a big win, which was incredibly nice of them.

If you're a team that has a tournament in the Devil's Lake area, you can't go wrong here. Its a bit of a hike to the rinks but an easy drive.

I'd imagine it would be nice in the summer time for sure.
