This is the first time I purchased strawberry’s from Silver Star farms and I’m not happy with the berry's. It looked to me like they topped the flat with fresh berrys and there were older berrys underneath. When I called and discussed the problem I was told it was my fault and because it had rained this week I should have rinsed the berrys in a mixture of water and vinager to kill the mold spores as because of the rain earlier in the week they were more susceptible to This would have been good information to have when I purchased them. I lost 1/3 of the flat to rot. They would do nothing for me except blame me for how I handled the berrys and that it couldn’t possibly be their product. I was very disappointed by their response. I’ve been making strawberry jam for 30 years and have never had berrys rot this fast. I purchased them late Friday afternoon and started processing them Saturday morning.

Bought a box of green beans at 5pm Friday night. Set them on the counter in my 70 degree apartment and woke up Saturday morning to open the box and see that the entire center of the box, well over 2/3 of it, was molded. When I tried to exchange them I was told that it was my fault for not putting them in the fridge and that the box could easily have grown 2/3 full of mold overnight and because it was my fault they were not willing to exchange them. After 4 years of loyalty, my friends and family will never return. $25 wasted! Bizi Farms had fresh, clean, washed beans! Same price! And they have not grown any mold in 3 days!

I love Silver Star Farms Market. A great little shop to get all my local farm fresh goodies. Honey, milk, eggs, homemade goods etc.

We've been going for years and i recommend them to everyone but the field this year (2022) is just horrible. Foot tall weeds, overgrown paths, you have to trot past huge overgrown weeds just to get to the plants, and once you're AT the berries, the bushes are empty. The whole field to the west and north just empty, probably every 6th bush had a berry and it was a toss up between a decent berry, a rotten berry or a berry that's been eaten by wildlife. I'm not sure if it was an early season rush but I was just so disappointed to see the farm I adore look so bad. Spent 30~ minutes actively looking for and picking berries and got less than a quarter of a pound between two seasoned pickers.

Perfect place to get pickling cucumbers and everything else. They have canning jars and all the caning supplies you might need. Linda is very helpful! Thank you very much!
