I don't think the owner likes dogs or the people who camp there. It seems like he only wants to tend bar. To be fair, he's good at that. Just don't leave your girlfriend or wife unattended.
This is a hidden gem! We decided to camp last minute on Memorial day weekend. The fishing was excellent, friendly and accommodating staff, and a beautiful tent campsite! Pets are allowed as we brought our 2 dachshunds. We had to bring a grill as there wasn't one for our fire pit. We docked our boat for free which was awesome. The only downfall was you can't launch your boat at the resort...there are 2 public landings and one of them is quite weedy. Overall, great place.
Was looking for a place not too far from home but still felt like I'm away.... this was perfect! Big Blake Lake is beautiful! Luke is a great host.
