About Campground

The City of Seward has seven separate campground locations, six locations within Seward RV Waterfront Park:

Iditarod, Resurrection (utility area), Marathon, Harborside, Alice, William's Park (for smaller RVs and Tent camping)

Our community invites you to stay and play and experience the abundant winter recreational opportunities available in the area. Stay at the Waterfront Park in a small section of Resurrection Campground where the scenery is breathtaking. The cost to camp is $5 a night for Dry camping, or if you need electric hook-ups, camping is $20 per nighg for Seward Alaska RV Parks. Self-contained RV units only, as our water is off and the dump station is closed for the cold season. Garbage service is also not available and must be hauled home or off-site.

Campers are required to self-register prior to camping. Use the pay station located at the north entrance of the winter camping area of Resurrection Campground.

We work to provide snow and ice removal. Be warned, however, that conditions change rapidly and often in Seward. Campers must use common sense and caution in the winter camping area. Watch for snow, ice, and uneven surfaces.

We camped with a travel trailer at the Waterfront Campground in a dry site. The views of the bay are beautiful. The sites have enough space in between. Nothing fancy except gorgeous nature!!

Hands down, if you have an RV, this is a great place to get reservations ahead of time at any location next to the water. We went in early June 2022. Pay the extra and book early/as soon as reservations open to get a good spot/the first row immediately next to the water because it fills up fast. Literally, within a week of opening reservations. There's a lot of for traffic that went behind our RV next to the water so if you don't like onlookers, get a row back, but then you have other RVs right behind you as well, so pros/cons that you have to weigh yourself.

Unfortunately, doesn't look like they're fully ready for the reopening because, sadly, the recycling bins were overflowing, thus the lower rating. Otherwise, dump station and electricity worked fine at our site, 567.

Otherwise, if not for the recycling mess, I would easily give this an undisputed highly recommended for the excellent value.

Not a great experience! My suggestion if you can...Dry camp for free! We had people take over our view at the fire ring DIRECTLY in front of our motorhome the 1st night. Tonight, we have someone who pulled up next to us in a truck and started her campfire without paying! Last night I emailed them about the loud noise and someone taking over our view....as of tonight still haven't heard from them! So much for noise ordinance and no alcohol! πŸ˜†πŸ€£ It's 65.00 to camp, but a 50.00 fine to park without paying! Take your chances people!!!

Dirt parking lot to camp in that is a mine field of large pot holes! Bathrooms and showers were shut down with closed signs. So no services but cost 40.00. Total rip off. We had planned to stay 3 days and left after 1. Do not recommend.

We are tent campers and stayed on the south end in the tent area next to the ocean. I think site 220 is the best tent site. Our first couple nights here were okay. There is zero privacy. The sites are on top of each other. If you have decent neighbors it’s ok. However as we approached a holiday weekend the campground completely filled. It appeared as many were not actually here to camp. Locals set up pop up tents are came to party blaring music and running generators until 1am. Also had homeless people on the other side of us. Bathrooms were ok. Had to drive to public showers downtown that were decent. Coin operated.
