Located approximately 5 miles southwest of Morrilton.
Drone flying allowed. Fish were jumping. Not too many people around. I enjoyed my visit. Will go back again. Don't forget the bug spray if going in the woods.
Very beautiful place, the trees, water and wildlife make for a great outdoor experience! Also the friendly and knowledgeable staff at the bait shop.... well I admit I work there, but come see for yourself. You will not be sorry!
Lake sequoia is a great lake, and the waterfall at its bottom is nice. The surrounding area of the lake had quite a bit of wildlife. I saw some snakes, frogs, turtles, and ducks. My only complaint is that some of the trails are hard to traverse from horses walking them.
Editing my review from 4 to 5 stars finally. People are finally picking up their own trash which makes a beautiful park even more special! It's a beautiful park, beautiful trails, beautiful pictures, it's just beautiful. The road into it is short and not maintained so there will be potholes the size of Massachusetts but it's traversable. It's worth the trip if you're local!
Lake Sequoyah is tucked in the Southeast side of Fayetteville, and is a great place to hike, fish, or just enjoy being outside without needing to drive too far.
There’s a few good spots to fish from shore, and there’s a dock with boat ramp. As of recent, the city isn’t charging fees to fish or boat here.
Worth checking out!
