Approximate location. Many sites for primitive camping off W. Courthouse Rd. and W. Salome Rd.
I just got back from my second trip there this year. I love the wide open space and the quiet. The landscape is spectacular. I recommend this place to anyone. One day I will get up the mountain.
If you don’t have a 4wd vehicle you will only be able to make it up to the base of the mountain. It’s probably best to park and walk if you have a regular passenger vehicle that isn’t high clearance.
Good camping with not a lot of people. Although the BLM is all flat so privacy was an issue there is some petroglyphs and lots of pretty views. ( My dog chased a jack rabbit for like 3 miles so keep dogs on leash)
