On our first trip to Maui, my partner and I came to find that it is an incredibly tranquil and spiritual place. Hands down the most peaceful and healing place we visited was the Sacred Garden, which is owned by Eve H. It can be described as a greenhouse overflowing with various thriving jungle plants, as well as calming and spiritual symbols/statues, with walking labyrinths that encourage introspection and self discovery. It exudes positive energy, and learning about its roots only adds to the already impressive impression it leaves on its visitors. A careful observer may even notice the calming effect it has on the many animals on site. We came across a napping cat on a chair in front of the Buddha statue, a multitude of geckos basking still in the sunlight, two beautiful parrots (Rocky and Shanti) singing songs to guests, and an adorable, normally enthusiastic golden retriever (Kumu) sitting calmly as we walked around. Walking the outdoor labyrinth, surrounded by trees, invites you to get to know yourself better, identify areas of growth and strength, and helps reconnect one with nature. The gift shop onsite offers many treasures, including beautiful leather-bound refillable journals. I wasn’t sure what I was expecting when I visited this place, but I’m so grateful I did and will be returning in the future. I can’t recommend this space enough!
I am so glad that we happened upon this place. It truly is a spiritual experience and internally calming. The rock labyrinths were centering. I loved all of the animals on site as well! Shanti is a sweet African Gray Parrot and I met the calmest cat I've ever met in my life. The plants are gorgeous! There's some neat alternative gifts here as well for you, your friends, or your family who are 'zen nerds', like crystals, shiny things, peaceful flags, jewelry, and the like. Highly recommend a stop out!
Lisa was so very knowledgeable and had open arms to share all the magic that happens here! Will definitely be back
Very nice!
It's definitely a hidden gem that houses a variety of plants from around the world. You'll definitely see a parrot, some chicken and roosters, as well as turtles that swim, and geckos if you're really observing. Last but not least, it has two labyrinths that promote healing supposedly(like meditating). It's is definitely a place that offers tranquility. I would recommend giving it a visit.
What a lovely place off the beaten path for peaceful reflection and good vibes! Loved the nursery as well - very inspirational even though we can't take these plants home.
