Beautiful and peaceful place for a quick 20 minute stop to walk around. Amazing root system and massive structure of the trees and bamboo tunnel. Has some picnic tables and saw few people sitting and enjoying the peacefulness and serenity. Wish there was more information on the history behind the creation of the forest.
A friend recommended this space to visit and I am so glad I made the time to come. The forest, bamboo and the statue of Hanuman were all very enchanting.
Is was sweet and beautiful to take our time walking through the trees and bamboo walkway.
I would recommend bringing bug spray though or just covering up. The mosquitos here are ferocious.
Also if you respect the land and or Hanuman, I would bring an offering to leave at his feet when you come to visit. 🙏🏽☺️
As per the Kauai's Hindu Monastery - Sacred Rudraksha Forest is closed for construction for next year or two. Unless you are a VIP, you won’t get access to the Hanuman idol and Rudraksha forest. Common people are restricted entrance due to planned construction. You can still visit the Rudraksha trees from the street.
Beautiful peaceful forest it is pretty well kept and there were several Rudrakshas on the ground they have a lovely small Ganesh temple at the end of the bamboo tunnels. It does get a bit muddy and slick wear appropriate shoes. The path is also mostly rock so again wear appropriate shoes. There is a small parking lot that gets filled quickly they are trying to expand it currently. There is a sign for the forest it is just a little ways down from the Hindu monastery. Go past the building with the ornate gate.
