Great concept, very convenient for a quick overnight for those passing through. Felt very safe staying the night. No frills or amenities but if you are looking for a safe, level spot, with full hook ups then I would recommend. We have stayed here for two years in a row now when we are making our cross country trip. Will be back again next year!
Traveling through and needed a place for the night. Found it using the Roadtrippers app. Booked and paid online. The hookup island “turns on” at your check in time. So basically the hookups are locked and once they “turn on” you can access them. (Push a lit button which allows you to slide up a cylinder to uncover the sewer, water works basically the same and the electricity pops on when you flip the fuse switch). It’s an awesome concept and works well. I must say that the best reviews come from an experience when there are problems or concerns. So…..when we arrived our “island” was not powered up. Hence, no
Hookups. We confirmed our date, time and site number through our email, all good. We called the number provided on website and email. It took about 30 minutes for a return phone call. They attempted to fix the problem over the phone, reset the server or whatever they did but to no avail. After an hour or so, someone showed up and had to reset the main electrical panel. All good after that.
I gave 5 stars because the place was clean, convenient, easy to book and they fixed the problem when it arose. They provided a link to the security cameras which was awesome! I would only suggest that they were a little more prompt and attentive when they receive a call. It’s my opinion that no one will call that number unless there is an emergency or problem so answering promptly would show good customer service. I realize it’s a self park deal but things happen when you have a
Business and someone needs to be available for issues promptly if they arise.
We would stay there again. We are full time RV so it’s likely. I hope more of these pop up around different areas.
Tonight was our first stay at the RV Self Park. We loved it! We plan to stay here each year on our way to and from Phoenix. It is perfectly situated right off Interstate 44. Reservations are easily made online. You receive a confirming email which contains everything you need to know to get settled in your space. It even includes a link to multiple security cameras which allows you to see the monitors on your mobile phone. The sites and roads are fully paved and are spacious and relatively level. The utility stations for full hook ups are new and well positioned at each site. One of my biggest complaints at many other parks involves the crazy way they often position water spigots and sewer drains making it difficult to hook up. Not the case here. Everything is perfect to make your hook up as convenient as possible. I hope we begin to see more of these throughout the country. I’d like to own one myself.
