About Campground

The Bunk House is an original 125 year old log home we moved in and we are restoring some of it and it will have it all. Full Kitchen with oven and stove and large fridge and all the pots and pans. Full bathroom with tub and shower. Queen bed and a Brohill sleeper sofa downstairs on a hardwood floor, and in the nifty loft you can sleep two children or two adults in the twin beds. This cabin will be great to 4 men riding the trail. AC, Direct satilite HD TV, CD Player, linen and towels are provided. Pictures are now posted. A photo album will be provided of the move and the remodel. We can’t wait to show you. Rumor has it that Doc Holiday extracted a lead bullet out of Leroy Parker, (Butch Cassidy) in this cabin in 1921.

I do not recommend this place. Despite being advertised as renovated, the building itself is not. Door don’t close properly, draft is at every corner. During the snow period, they didn’t even clear the emergency exit pat. I check the emergency path on April 6, 7 and 8 and it was blocked by the snow. This set of unit is so far from the Holiday Inn ridge that it is pointless to have to pay for a resort fee. We had numerous issues with our “new unit” the fire place was not working nor the ice machine or the water, the stove clock never staying at the right time. Our unit was on the 3rd floor and we felt the vibrations of the jacuzzi pump 24/7. When the jets are turned on, the vibration and noise would wake up any one who sleeps in the back bedrooms when someone turn the jet on. The hot tub area doesn’t lock and it is not secured for kids. When Basic things like a pair of scissors. The maintenance people we internet. The staff overall feels like it has been there too long. There is only one shuttle driver that was very friendly. Shuttles to town are not to rely on. As John mentioned to me, these are courtesy shuttle, the time and frequency is a they discretion. Shuttles may pass way before their scheduled times.

Hiking trail and shuttle stops nearby. Sauna and hottub on premise. Thumbs up for having a washer/dryer in each unit - ish. Underground parking for vehicles with lower clearance (7 feet and less?). For the light sleepers, expect to hear your neighbors conversations, TV noises, folks staying above you walking about, refrigerator and heater go on and off, AND if you are staying in a unit facing the road, car, elevator and balcony foot traffic noises.

Ridge Pointe, man, let me tell you about this slice of ski bum paradise perched up in the mountains above Lake Tahoe. First off, the views are like, whoa, mind-blowing, dude. It’s like Mother Nature painted a masterpiece and then was like, "Here, have a hot tub and a sauna to soak in it." Speaking of, the hot tub is where you'll find me thawing my frozen buns after a day shredding the gnar. And the sauna? A sacred temple for my sore muscles, no joke.

The gym's there too, for those feeling guilty about skipping leg day, but let’s be real, the only lifting I’m doing is a pint after carving up the slopes. And get this, they’ve even got underground parking, so my ride stays as snug as a bug in a rug while I’m out chasing powder.

But here’s the kicker, a shuttle straight to the ski lift. It's like they knew I'd be too lazy to walk in my gear. Ridge Pointe’s got it all, man. Great digs, epic views, and all the amenities a ski bum could dream of. What a spot to chillax and enjoy the mountain vibes!

We had a very nice stay. The room was clean and well stocked. I love the jacuzzi tub that was in our bathroom. As you can see in my pictures the room was extremely nice. They have a nice small gift shop on site picked up a few things. The cashier was extremely nice and friendly. Glad I got to go and stay. My sister and her husband have been members here for the past 35 years.

We stayed with the Holiday Inn Vacation Club The Ridge. We were in "the Pointe". Very close to the slopes (Heavenly Stagecoach lift) we often walked down to the list to get a warm up.

We were off-site from the main propert, but there was shuttle service and it was generally good. Drivers were friendly and the shuttles circulated often .

The room was nice and well laid out. There was laundry facilities right in the entry area to the room. We enjoyed our stay so much hat we decided to add this property to our investment because we will be back. And we will likely stay at The Pointe in the future.
