Nice park on the water. Beautiful views. Bathrooms and showers clean and adequate.

The doggie poo pails needed emptied the whole time we were there.

Traffic during the weekend can get loud but very quiet on the weekends.

Had a wonderful stay at this campsite on our road trip! Elizabeth is so warm and friendly, super helpful and told us everything we needed to know. Location, service and facilities are excellent - perfect for our one night stop along Hood Canal. Would highly recommend :)

I just spent two months at Rest-A-While (mid-July through mid-September). We stayed on the forested side.

Everyone we met was so kind! Upon arrival, both neighbors and an employee (Barney) came out to help us back into our spot.

Good communication. The day before our arrival Elizabeth called us and let us know the water pump would be going through some maintenance. During our first two days, we would be without water and should fill up our potable water. So helpful! Thank you!

Beautiful views of the Hood Canal! My husband and I went on a walk every evening to the water. One night we even saw a few sea otters kill a fish, and eat it right on the rocks in front of us! So cool! Rest-A-While’s little boardwalk lights up at night, and it’s so lovely!

There are 4 washing machines ($1.50 per load) and 3 dryers ($1 per load).

WIFI and Internet worked wonderfully for us. My husband and I both work remotely, so this was important. Our Verizon Hotspot worked awesome. To save on data throughout the day, I often used the RV park's free WIFI for work with no problems. It does start to slow down around 4 p.m. because that’s when more people start to use it.

Spots are a bit tight when the park is full, but nothing worse than any other RV park I’ve been to.

The website needs an overhaul and needs to have consistent information. For example, the top header says there’s an Arts and Music Fair. It said there would be one on Labor Day weekend, but there wasn’t. If it’s canceled, that’s fine; simply remove it from your website to avoid confusion.

The website states that The HoneyBee is Open. That is also incorrect; I never saw it open once. This is a missed opportunity for the park. I would’ve loved to grab a coffee or something for breakfast. If you can’t keep the HoneyBee staffed, maybe invite local food trucks to the park weekly. Anyways, simplify your website, and keep it updated. This is easier on employees and guests! It’s 2023, and a current and functional website is a MUST.

Lastly, there is a recreation room, but it’s apparently only available to groups to rent because people haven’t cleaned up after themselves and ruined it for everyone. I was pretty bummed about this because I would’ve loved to have access to a real oven! Tis the season of fresh fruit and I would've loved to bake an apple crisp!

I really wanted to hunt for oysters on their private beach for guests, but as a beginner, I was really intimidated. It would be great if the park offered a guide of some sort to help us out. You know, show us when the best time to go is and what the heck to do when we get there.

I’d read in some reviews there was a trail around the park that led to a waterfall. Technically there is, but it’s not maintained. The waterfall and stream are only active during peak rainy season.

I’ve read several comments stating the man at check-in was rude or grumpy. However, as someone who’s worked with the public for many years, I got the impression he was a bit burned out. I think we all know how difficult the public can be, especially if you get a few Karens. While a bit gruff, he was always kind to me.

Give the employee who drives the Toyota a raise! I watched him handle so many issues in the park, and I could tell he really cared. It made me laugh watching him work so hard in a shirt that says Dilligaf. LOL yes you do!

My husband and I have now moved on as we travel full-time in our travel trailer. We’ve only been gone a week, and we miss it already. Thanks for a lovely late summer Rest-A-While!

Exceptionally poorly kept restrooms/showers. Clubhouse is always closed despite advertised. The so called free wifi is near useless and must be constantly reset. Managers seem to always be completely wasted or exceptionally rude. If you have deep pockets they will gladly help you, otherwise it seems they have no care for anyone. Been a regular for many years and all I hear from the office staff is to avoid this place at all costs. There is a reason the local grocery store has nothing good to say.

I'm in the off season, so much is not happening besides rain. Had an awesome Christmas with staff. Place is quiet with a flowing river directly behind your RV. Looking for a welcoming spot that is inclusive, this here is it. And did I mention the bigger river across the street. Oh yes, it is so beautiful just to look at day and night. No complaints here. My husband swears by the steaming hot showers. Everyone mines their business but are friendly when approached. Good experience for me I must say.
