I stayed for two nights, camping out of my motorcycle in late July. This campground is small, very friendly and relaxed, clean facilities and nice sites. There is a sweet fire pit. Rich and his wife are great hosts and very knowledgeable locals. The road to the sites is nice and flat gravel, still works for touring bikes unlike many muddy roads to nearby camping.
We stayed for a 3 day weekend, and met Rich and Linda when we pulled in. They made us feel right at home, by directing us to our cabin and telling us about how they are solar powered. (Cabins
hand built by owner). Following up with there SUPER CLEAN restrooms and showers. Although we did not raft we enjoyed watching them cruise down the river. The view was beautiful from every angle. We will be back without a doubt.
We had a wonderful time at Rafters Roost! There are lots of amenities, such as the well maintained shower and restrooms. The sites are clean and well appointed. The owner, Rich, is personable and welcoming and gave us lots of great intel on local restaurants, hot springs, etc. There is access to the river via a maintained path with a small sandy beach for launching your kayak, or walk up the river a bit to tube the slower part of the river. We spent the evening using the grill and lounging by the firepit. I would absolutely recommend Rafters Roost for a Buena Vista basecamp, you will not be disappointed!
We were looking for a last minute reservation as we were traveling through and Witney was amazing in helping us make arrangements. The site is modern and well kept. The views are amazing with mountains and rivers. The showers and bathroom were very clean and provided extra amenities . We are looking forward to staying here again. Highly recommend!!
Awesome place to tent. Hosts were very friendly. The campground is centrally located to kayaking, hiking and site seeing adventures. Hot showers and restrooms a plus after a day of hiking. The campground can accomadate any of your camping needs... tenting, cabins, small rv sites and fields that back up to the Arizona River for larger rigs. I would highly recommend this place for your Buena Vista, Colorado adventures. Just ask for Rich, the owner
