Fabulous trip, whether you are hiking, running, or cross country skiing. 4.25 miles from the parking area to the lake. Gradual, gentle uphill for most of the way outbound. Good for a cold dip in the summer/fall and great for a ski that is in the sunshine the entire way in late February or March. One of my favorite places to get outside for some casual yet beautiful exercise.
Great trail! For biking, running or just a nice hike. The lakes are beautiful and it's long but not very challenging
The lake was very pretty and blue. It is hard but worth it. There were lots of fish jumping there. It is windy but usually sunny. The view of Suicide peaks are amazing. The water is cold but ice seen people in the water.
Bring bear spray and a weapon. Bear traffic is heavy. We went in Sept of 2018. It was chilly at night. Still snow around the base of the mountains in some spots. But overall a beautiful hike. Wear waterproof shoes and watch out for mountain bikers, they don’t yield to hikers.
Beautiful spot and a great hike to get there. It's about 4.5 miles from where you can park.
