We had a good experience at first but then the owners and the manager of the park were completely ridiculous and included themselves in our lives it was one of the worst experiences that I've ever dealt with after the fact that I was gone I hope that anybody that goes there stays to themselves and gives the owners who need to Pace their self the disrespect that they deserve how dare them to involve them and someone's life they need to get a life of their own if you want to go ride your ATV and stay there for a day then I recommend it for the view but anything other than that stay away they are Petty and intravening
If there were more stars I would be passing them out to R&D Campground. We travel for a living and have stayed in hundreds of campgrounds around America and this just be my favorite. It is small, which I love, the owners are extremely gifted at hospitality and have thought of every detail to make the stay comfortable. I felt downright spoiled by all the creature comforts provided in the pavilion. We had a mini family reunion and my family used the pavilion to visit and make dinner in. Everyone was so impressed. Very family and pet friendly. I cant wait to come back. Thank you for everything you do Dennis and Rita.
Absolute gem of a campground! Dennis, Rita and John are all amazing. We love R&D campground and also the super-convenient access to Doe Mountain for the four Wheeling!
We love R&D Campground and it’s proximity to Doe Mountain recreation area. It’s a fantastic place to camp whether you have an RV or tents and the owners, Dennis and Rita, are awesome people! This quickly became our new favorite campground! We love the fact that we can literally get on the mountain trails directly from the campground! Also, John who manages the campground is amazing, helpful and super-kind. Can’t say enough great things!
A true gem. An amazing find with an amazing rate in the perfect location. We found Rita and Dennis when we needed a place to stay to visit family across the state line in NC. We ended up arriving 5 hours after our initial arrival time due to RV issues on the road. Dennis was very nice and checked in to make sure we were all good. 10/10. Highly recommend this park.
