Wr stayed here for a night, at the beginning of the season. They charged full price (76$) showers weren’t working, hot water was off, no sewer . It’s basically a carparking sport with electricity you are paying for. No amenities on site, showers are extra (in our instance they weren’t working either).

The advertised harbourside spots, are even more carpark-ish, plus despite being advertised are not actually available.

Really poor value for money!

Location is great, but price is high at $75. At this price, there should be Wi-Fi, laundry facility, and at least more than one shower. The showers/bathrooms were dirty. Wife’s bathroom didn’t have hand soap. Campground was noisy due to the train and ships coming in and out of port, but this was expected. I feel $50 would have been a more fair price.

We had come down for a family birthday where some of us were staying at the rv park and everyone else in hotels. Due to the rv park nature the family wanted to gather at the rv site rather than in a hotel room. We chose the rv site tucked away farthest in the corner so we could ensure to be out of the way. The host woman came charging over to us 5 minutes into our stay complaining that there were 2 vehicles parked at our site and she wanted them backed up more out of the way. We stated they were visiting the site and would be leaving at the end of the night then proceeded to move the trucks back farther into the site as she asked. She seemed upset by our reply. We went to dinner and returned with the same 2 vehicles. As we were pulling in she screamed in front of us dangerously with her vehicle and slammed her brakes in front of us while we are backing both vehicles back into the spaces she wanted us in before, to come yell at us that she didn’t appreciate being lied to and threatened us that we would be banned if we parked the second truck at our site. She then stayed parked in front of us so we couldn’t move and went to the neighbouring site and asked if we were bothering them when they weren’t even relevant to the situation. So we proceeded to move the trucks around the block outside of the rv park so we could not be banned from our site. This stay was absolutely horrible. I DO NOT recommend here. We felt completely targeted and that the owner is on a power run. We were a group consisting of two 80 year olds, a couple of 50 year olds and two in late 20’s. We were extremely polite, clean, quiet, and respectful to the rv park. I legitimately mean that we did not do a single thing wrong other than have 2 trucks at our site completely out of the way. There are no signs saying only 1 vehicle allowed per site or anything. If you’d like to be harassed, embarrassed and threatened then have fun staying here. We also put in a formal complaint to the Skagway Chamber of Commerce. If I could leave negative stars I would. Absolutely disgraceful.

We were originally scheduled to pull our travel trailer into Garden City RV Park but were switched to PC at the last moment. There were no additional charges for this upgraded site. The sites at PC are reasonably spaced apart and there are a few bushes and trees. More than satisfactory for our 9 night stay. We had power and water, but no connected sewer but there is a double dump station on the site. Views were great, overlooking the harbour and cruise ship docking area. The town, harbour and cruise ship docking areas were all a short walking distance. There are active tourist trains and tourist buses nearby in addition to the cruise ships, so don't expect a noiseless experience during the daytime. The camp hostess was great and made us feel very welcome so we are very satisfied with our stay. Out of the two available campsites in Skagway this was definitely the better one with a short walk to the town and harbour but be prepared to pay exorbitantly high rates from these short seasoned businesses.
