Not sure why it's not packed here. Gorgeous waterfront sites and glassy water for hours each morning. So nice being close to the store. The little hotel rooms are nice and clean, too. Love it!

My family and friends have enjoyed Prineville Reservoir Resort for many years, the staff was amazing, sad to hear they have changed direction, I wish them all the best on their future. I would like to find out where they landed so we can still take our trips with them?

Has anyone found a way to get in touch with the management of the resort? we as I am sure many of us are looking forward to our summer vacations but it is hard to plan without a confirmation on whether or not or reservations still stand at the resort?

We have camped here for years, always in June. While we like staying here, the name "resort" is a bit of loose use of the word. The sites are well maintained but there is no grass. If you have a boat, you can drive your boat right up to the beach at your site, (if the lake is full). If the lake is down, it can be a bit of a walk to your boat. There is a shower house with coin operated showers. Be sure to bring drinking water because the well water doesn't taste super great, but is useable for all other purposes. It is well suited for RV's with power and water, there is a dump station available for guests.

We just got back from a few days at the resort. Our experience with the owners was less than acceptable. We went in to register and after saying hello, how's it going, were net with a cold stare. I thought, well she didn't hear me. So when we left, earlier than expected, we stopped in to see about a refund on the Moorgate, and we're rudely told they don't give refunds. I said what? And she said 'i SAID we don't give refunds. Well, it always shocks me when I encounter such blatant disrespect and rude behavior. If they are going to do business with the public, they need, no must learn to be kind and respectful. Why are they this way, I don't know. It is our last time there. Too bad. I would give them zero stars if I could.

Our group of 7-8 families (up to 50 adults / teenagers / children) have been staying here for years. (I say staying because with all the amenities it's not really camping :-) Ice, gas, showers, ice cream, beverages and the like. Rick and Julie have always worked with us on our reservations and site selection when we all show up at the same time on the same day and want to get on the water.

We bring all our water toys and spend a full week each year. If you happen to forget something, they have everything you need at the store. They also have 90 octane gas at the fuel dock (without ethanol) so the boats and skis run great at elevation. If you call ahead they will even meet you at the fuel dock so you don't waste any time :-)

What they can't control is the weather. Enjoy the days, just be ready for if/when the wind picks up in the afternoon by pulling your sun shade tops, awnings and towels. You may even want to add an extra stake and rope or two to your larger tents with lots of surface area. We have had weeks with no wind gusts and some with two to three wind "events". They are kind of fun if you are prepared. Also; make sure and anchor well so you don't have to run for the dock in the middle of a storm like those whom are not prepared / informed and not expecting the 3 foot swells :-(

Thanks Julie and Rick for keeping the resort a clean, fun and enjoyable place to "camp"
