Twin Rivers Campground is located in the beautiful, historic Shenandoah Valley in Front Royal, Virginia. The campground is nestled between the two forks, the North Fork and South Fork, of the popular Shenandoah River.
TWIN RIVERS CAMPGROUND, 203 RIVERSIDE DRIVE, FRONT ROYAL, VA, 22630, UNITED STATES
Prime location in front of the Shenandoah NP, close to highway but quiet, Walmart and nearby convenience. Every lot is riverfront giving great views every morning.
But little facilities (a tiny bathhouse & trash dump are only ones) without laundry, narrow lots with missing tables, owner not always at the site. They accept cash only.
I'd give 5 stars if they had laundry.
The owners are very nice and helpful. When I emailed them looking for a long term site the owner got back to me very quickly. Everything is well kept they definitely try hard to keep things quiet and maintained. Only complaint is the lack of phone signal but that’s only because of the location being in a valley. Easy commute to DC and surrounding areas.
Nice campground but not a place to stay if you want hassles. If you work around here for outages DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!
There is no laundry facility there if you need to wash something you have to go into town.
Your also not allowed to be out of your camper after 9pm it's a rule on the agreement. They call the cops on you if you are and tell you to leave.
Also they make a big deal if a bunch of campers get together at just one regardless of the noise level quietly talking or not.
We washed salt off our vehicles and your not allowed to wash your vehicles at the campground. The owner got very upset!! There aren't any touch free or hand wash car places around either.
So very uptight place and maybe not good for longer periods of time. Good for a weekend getaway with the family but for a traveling worker during outage DO NOT STAY HERE.
Large property but only 35 sites limited by city. Site are close together. Cash only.
While on a road trip I tried several times to reach the camp to book a site. No answer, only a message. We decide to drive there anyways with the hope of getting a site. The manager was nowhere to be found. The sign said no vacancy. Please do not advertise this as a campground. It is full of long term renters. Call it what it is-a trailer park.
