Relax and unwind from a busy schedule, you will enjoy this peaceful, serene environment away from it all and yet conveniently located near many springs, beaches and theme parks. It is a rural area and is away from the city lights.
Located on the withlacooche river, perfect for kayaking, fishing or swimming. There’s so much wildlife to see it’s actually amazing . Great place to relax, read and do something different.
Many fast food an restautants close by as well as many grocery stores, close to the Whitlacooche state trail, Joy Lam Drive In movie theater and Downtown Dade City and a 45 min drive from the Tampa Int'l airport and Bush Gardens
Large Group, no problem we do have 2 RV's on the property that can accomodate up to 10 ppl and we can also provide a tent with air mattress at an additional cost. (if available)
River access
You may wanna bring a fishing rod if you like that and a lifevest for smaller children

NOT FAMILY FRIENDLY....OR VERY CHRISTIAN LIKE, IMO! We called about pricing and availability. When we told her we had children, she said, "oh, I'm going to have to talk to someone about children. We don't like children. We have nothing for children to do." Nowhere on website does it say 55+. This is age discrimination and actually illegal. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
All the previous reviews except one, were dated years ago. As we understand new owners took over the campground.
I have never seen a campground run like this one in all our years camping. We wanted a place for several months for the winter season, 2022/2023. Their website really was misleading!
As you can see, they advertise a pool and access to the river-beautiful river view pictures. Although when I walked to the river and pool I was told I was to STAY ON THE CAMPGROUND SIDE. The office lady, Kim, said that side of the property was for “retreaters”.
On the website it never mentioned there was any kind of retreat that was there on the weekends!!
Our campsite was so out of level we had the level jacks in the front down as much as possible and the front tires were off the ground. BUT when we called to reserve the site Kim wanted to know what kind of camper we had, they were very particular about how old the camper was lol.
Nothing in their website fits the pictures.
We stayed a short time and forfeited the remainder of our monthly payment.
If you want to stay here you should visit first and get first hand what the campers are entitled to before committing to stay here.
What an incredible experience at Riverside! Florida International University recently held one of our unique traditional experiences at Riverside and had a memorable time. The facility was only two hours from Miami - super easy for our busses to find and enter/exit without any detours. The lodging met our needs- bunk style for over 60 students with bathrooms inside their sleeping arrangements. The menu met the diverse needs of our students as well - staff is extremely hospitable and willing to make adjustments- very friendly and patient - never made us feel like an inconvenience. On site support was available throughout the entire weekend. Lots of space to meet either formally inside a building or to complete team building activities outside. Lots of greenery and access to water sources for water activities. We had access to the pool as well! We cannot wait to return this year and to continue our signature program at Riverside - a beginning to a long partnership for years to come! Nice Quiet,very clean park. Full service sites. Free clean laundry facilities. Beautiful park. We will be back.
