Uncut stumps all over the place. Sunken dock, not bothered to fix. Smelly water in the cabins. Dust everywhere. Ever hear of gravel? Its feels like management doesn't care about it anymore.

We went to use the boat ramp and was charged $10 to park and the boat ramp was small and hard to use. Almost ruined our boat trailer. We wish the other side with the nice boat ramp would open again. Sad we were forced to use this ramp to launch our boat. We will not go back. Sad because this place has so much potential to be a desired spot to fish.

Had a pretty terrible experience here. I'll just cut to the chase and say if you can drive the extra 10 minutes the East Lake Lodge rooms, food, and staff are 10 times better.

The lady working the lodge was not very nice to us right from the start. I understand people are overworked and understaffed everywhere but this was different. Not sure why she's in the hospitality industry.

The food was awful. I mean really awful. My hamburger was $17 and it was a pre-formed frozen patty from a bag. Wasn't even cooked all the way through. I've eaten some bad food in my day but this was on a different level. Avoid eating here at all costs.

We rented a boat for the day and a few hours on the water we RAN OUT OF GAS. They didn't even give us a full tank before we left. Guess what, there's no cell service up there and they didn't give us a walkie-talkie. Finally we drifted to a spot where I had one bar and I managed to get the message to the lodge that we were out of gas before service cut out. What the actual F. They sent us out there with a quarter tank or so.

My in-laws rented a room for a few nights and ended up not staying and driving home. We checked the room out and it was broken down, gross, and falling apart.

If you can, make the extra drive to East Lake Resort. The cabins are clean and well built, the food is real food and very good, the staff is nice, and THEY GIVE YOU WALKIE-TALKIES WHEN YOU RENT A BOAT.

We stayed in the bluebird, cabin was a dump! Not enough towels the ones in the room were still damp! The eating table was a picnic table. It says it sleeps 8 but only two rooms. The biggest gauge wasn’t just the unbelievable per night room fee for what we got then they charged us a $50 dollar extra cleaning fee! Would never recommend staying there!!

Beautiful spot! It was a great spot to explore the caldera and the surrounding areas with greater ease. Next time we are going to go earlier in the summer to be able to take advantage of the other activities in the area and at the lodge.
