We have camped here a couple times now. It is usually pretty empty. This place has an amazing view but it is very windy, especially at night. It can be hard to sleep in a tent with all the wind. Getting an RV in can be a little tricky with the poor road and overhanging juniper limbs. Yes Vault toilet, no water, no power, no dumpster.

This is a hidden gem. We came through Fort Rock heading to Crack in the Ground before finding a new way back to Bend. We stumbled upon this BLM campground with a most unusual fire lookout adjacent to the campsites. The views are spectacular - the amenities minimal. It is a great place to get away from the crowds.

Great campground if you’re looking to do crack in the ground the next day. Quiet. Limited spots so get there at 2pm.

Sweet campground with awesome views. A quarter mile walk to the summit offers even better ones. Clean vault toilet. Incredible experience. Thank you Bureau of Land Management for keeping our public lands accessible.
