Situation along Winchester Creek with views of Salmon Harbor, this campground is in the heart of the action for recreating in Winchester Bay. The 26 site campground provides full hook up and partial hook up sites. A new restroom and shower building was constructed in 2019.
The campground is located approximately 2 miles from the Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) riding area located at the Umpqua Dunes portion of the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area. A dedicated OHV route links the campground to the riding area.

For the most part our stay was pleasant,til the last day of 5. The hosts were great but, they do NOT enforse the lease rule at all. Couldn’t take my little dogs to even potty in our own site. The site next to us just let their big dogs run all over. They were in everyones sites. The lease rule should be enforced.
We camp here a lot, and I have to say this time (4/28-30),the camp hosts were the most pleasant and kept the place so clean. The bathrooms and the campsites were immaculate and we really enjoyed the trip.
We loved it at windy cove. It was our first time there. The manager of the park was really nice too. The dunes are just down the road and the beach is about a mile doen the road too. We will definitely go back.
