This is one of our FAVORITE parks in the county! I love that the play structure is in the shade, makes playtime in the summertime so much better for kids. Amd its a great place for lunch with an awesome view of the river!

A beautiful, well cared for park. A nice place to picnic, camp, or even get married!

Great place, though we did pick a day when there were three weddings going on. We found a secluded spot and had some snacks. Great river access with showers and clean facilities on the camping side. Lots of dogs, so it you're not a dog person, you've been warned

I have only camped going towards the coast, this time we went the other way. I really enjoyed camping here. It wasn't to crowded..it was very quiet..and remote yet close to so many things...our camp host was amazing and friendly..but you can tell she runs a tight ship which was beneficial because after ten it was very quiet...we saw deer coming thru and many other animals like lizards and squirrels...the day use area was also very cool with a playground and places to fish..not to many swimming holes but we also were not looking very hard for those in our trip.

During the week, expect to have nearly the whole park to yourself! Situated on the Applegate River, it is perfect for picnics, kids, picking blackberries, swimming, birding, fishing, and playing with dogs. Throughout the park are interpretive signs, Cheryl Garcia's beautiful sculptures, a little free library, a wonderful playground, little hiking trails, spawning salmon, tadpoles and lizards, and a plethora of wildflowers in the spring and summer.
