This area is a shared use corridor. There is access to ungroomed ski trails and groomed snowmobile trails. Snowmobile trails groomed regularly by the Columbia Gorge Power Sledders Snowmobile Club. Parking lot has space for 40 vehicles. Trailers are OK. Restroom facilities are available at the parking lot as well as staging areas for summer recreation for mountain biking and road riding.
From Dufur, OR take Dufur Mill Road (Forest Road 44) west for about 16.5 miles to the trailhead.
It was fine. We walked here and felt safe. Parking area is quite large. Bathroom wasn’t clean but it did have one.
Wonderful spot for cross country skiing. Snowmobilers do grooming so it is easy to ski and when you see folks on snowmobiles they are always friendly and polite.
A quick drive, 15 minutes from Dufur. The road is plowed.
Great for snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling. I love that everyone gets along and shares the trails generously. The warming cabin is a great spot to warm up for lunch.
