Enjoy a scenic drive along the Molalla River. The Molalla River Recreation Area, located approximately 10 miles southeast of Molalla in Clackamas County, offers easy river access and opportunities for picnicking, swimming, camping, whitewater boating and fishing. The Molalla is one of the few undammed tributaries of the Willamette River and cuts a picturesque gorge on its way to the valley floor. The Molalla River Recreation Area also serves as the gateway to Table Rock Wilderness.
Nice park. Didn't have a chance to explore all of it. We hiked a 2 mile loop that took us by the river. We saw plenty of people with fishing poles so I guess this is a good place for fishing. There are lots of picnic areas, places for dogs to run, a pond with turtles, trees, grass and fields. Will definitely be returning.
This is a cute place to have a picnic or to take your dog out. I wouldn't say this is a very scenic walk, as most of the trails are covered in branches and black berry bushes. This makes it hard to enjoy a simple walk through the trees with minimal access to the water.
