The Park is located just off highway 287 in a small village called Goodlett. Goodlett is 8 miles west of Quanah, Texas and 20 miles east of Childress, Texas. Turn north on Goodlett Road at our lighted sign and follow the street around two blocks to the Ole Gin. The Park is approximately a four hour drive from Dallas and two from Amarillo or Wichita Falls.
We love this place!!! We stayed in September 22 for a week and came back in March 23 and stayed for a few months. It is quiet, peaceful, and just what we were looking for. The price is unbeatable with just the right amenities. The family running this campground is always easy to get ahold of in the event you need anything. Our dogs love the dog park, and the quiet surrounding roads for a walk. You’re close to Walmart and the grocery store has what you need. You’re less than 2 hours from Amarillo for any big errands. We love this spot and are already considering it as our place for winter. Small town Texas kindness at its finest!
Great little park!! Nice long spacious sites. All sites are full hookups. Some sites have little shade trees, others are tree free for those with satellites. Big single bathrooms, 2 for men and 2 for women. Nice pool to cool off in. Office has small store with groceries, snacks, rv supplies and souvenirs. Don't forget to pet Walter, the office cat!!
LEO friendly with discount. Good prices for everyone. Easy to pull in and out. Full hook ups 20,30,50 amps at all sites. Peaceful place. Pool was nice and refreshing when we were there. We will definitely be staying here whenever we pass through.
Very pleasant stay. Service was so good. Super long level pull throughs so nice for a one night stay. It is close to the train tracks though so just be aware. Easy off the highway.
