From Scottsboro Alabama take Route 72 west. Approximately 16 miles on the left, you will see a log cabin gas station turn left onto route 6, just before the gas station. Route 6 is a hidden road, which goes behind the log cabin station. The entrance to Nutty Acres Campground is just past the horse pasture on the right approximately 2-3 miles. From Huntsville Alabama, route 72 east. Follow signs for Cathedral Caverns State Park, do not turn onto Cave Rd going to the cave. Stay on Cathedral Caverns Rd. We are 2 miles past Cave Rd. on the left. Alternatively, turn right onto route 6 at the log cabin gas station.
This guy is not very friendly nor will u meet him in person he has some def lady doing his work for him. Also I'm female an because I had a friend help me to move camper an set it up just because a friend was there after helping me n getting set up this guy kicks me out because I had a male friend helping me move my camper n set up. Appears he wants only single females on his sites which to me is a bit creepy. Not mention. I wasn't nor hadn't caused any problems but got kicked out as I got set up because of a male friend helping me move n he apparently was around helping to long in his book. He gave me money back of course but also threatened me with having my friend's truck n my camper towed off. Note truck was only being used to move camper because my previous camper caught fire so truck was borrow for this move which owner wasn't to nice about. So I highly recommend you go somewhere else the place is very creepy at that. Bad customer service an owner will never show face which also bad customer service also they said no pets but there were pets there barking the entire day I was there. PIck somewhere else. Anywhere else bee better than this compound creepy place
This campground is very accommodating and has the best prices around. They provide in-ground water, electric and sewage that are included in the rent.
They do not let the riff raff in. So if you lie on the lease as a few people have^ they are unable to stay. As a woman with a daughter who has stayed here for 2 years, I appreciate the time they take to help me, as well as how selective they are with who they let live here.
I have never had a problem with the owners. As long as you clean up after yourself, there are no issues.
